7.Observation of Food Safety Signage.

Be aware of food safety signage in the workplace and adhere to the signage it is there for a reason.

Cross contamination is the indirect or direct transfer of bacterial chemical or physical contaminants from raw meat to other foods and deemed unsafe for human consumption.

 Ensure the correct use of colour coded chopping boards & utensils to reduce transfer of cross contamination between foodstuff.

The most common causes of food contamination include:

  • 1- Poor Personal Hygiene
  • 2- Incorrect zoning of utensils & Chopping Boards
  • 3- Unclean Clothing
  • 4- Unclean equipment and surfaces
  • 5- Incorrect food handling
