We provide internal audits and 3rd party certified audits to ISO and BRC Global Standards.
We work closely with LEOs in Meath and Westmeath providing training and mentoring for food business in a pre-start up phase and assisting established businesses with the design and implementation of their HACCP and safety management systems.
John Dowling is a member of the Food Safety Professionals Association (FSPA) and a registered trainer with the Environmental Health Association of Ireland (EHAI).
John began his career in the food industry nearly 20 years ago, packing yogurts on the factory floor. After graduating from college in Food Science and Quality Management he went on to work in Quality Control and Assurance in a range of product categories (Cooked Meats, Ready to Eat, Confectionary, Red Meat, Fish, Dairy and Brewing) and also in the catering and food retail sectors. Companies John has worked for include, Glanbia, Teagasc, Kerry Foods, Lir Chocolates, Liffey Meats and BWG Foods.
Over the years he has gained extensive experience of maintaining standards across a vast range of products such as cooked meats, craft beer, dairy, fresh/frozen ready meals, red meat, seafood, salads, sandwiches and confectionary for customers such as Tesco, Musgraves, Marks & Spencer and Lidl.
As the Technical Manager of a meat processing plant John successfully manage a major food crisis in 2013 dealing with inspectors from Board Bia, FSAI, and Department of Agriculture. Since then he has been using his knowledge and experience to guide and mentor existing and newly established food companies to grow and develop.
BiaSolutions has been set up by John in order to offer food producers and service providers with technical support to set up and maintain Quality Management Systems and to assist them in dealing with Environmental Health registration and compliance visits from regulatory authorities. Most recently John has qualified as a Lead Auditor and is now assisting food producers in meeting the requirements of ISO and BRC audits.
As a member of EHAI and FSPA John Dowling is licensed to deliver training in HACCP and Food Safety from primary to management levels. Training can be tailored to suit your company’s individual requirements and can be provided in English and/or other languages.

Jo-Anne Corcoran gained an Honours Degree in Industrial Design before beginning her career in the food industry working for Kerry Foods. She later went on to qualify in Food Science and Technology. In Kerry Foods Jo-Anne learned best-practice in food safety and food production. Studying design has enabled Jo-Anne to think creatively and diversify into managing projects in various sectors over the last twenty years. Achieving Internal Auditor certification Food Standards and BRCGS Auditor in Storage and Distribution as well as ISO Lead Auditor accreditation in Health and Safety has broadened the range of expertise Jo-Anne has to offer clients.
